The Month of St. Joseph
"During the hidden years in Nazareth, Jesus learned at the school of Joseph to do the will of the Father. That will was to be his daily food."(cf. Jn 4:34).

ST. JOSEPH, strengthen in our family every bond of love which unites us – the marriage bond, the love of parent and child, the bonds of mutual love between all of us and grant us peace in the world. Amen

During Lent Season:
Ideas to do at Home
City of Jerusalem

Stations of the Cross
Prayer: you could add another acts of piety as a family. For example: praying the Rosary or Divine Mercy, do The Stations of the Cross ( especially on Fridays), do a personal examination of conscience every night to see where you went wrong -ask forgiveness to Christ and get up and do better the next day. As well see what you have improved and give thanks to God.
Penance: means to turn around and head to a new direction. A change of heart. Go to the sacrament of confession. Forgive!
Fasting: not only on food but you could also fast from what is hard for you: mass media, cell phone, gossip, anger, silence when necessary...
Alms Giving: give to others, does not only have to be money but also your time, love... (giving a hand to someone...).

We invite you to do this at home with each kid. Filling in the blank what God is asking of each one of them

Recently, we celebrated Catholic Schools Week in the Diocese. This year’s celebration was conducted virtually, but nevertheless, it afforded me the opportunity to tell students to thank their parents for being committed to Catholic education. And for those who struggle to send their children to Catholic school, I am delighted by all the efforts in the Diocese to make Catholic education possible for those who seek it.
The parishes of the Diocese are doing their best to keep the catechetical faith formation programs on track, but this pandemic has made it difficult. Parents, catechists, and parish ministers are attentive to the need of passing the faith on to the next generation. The Diocese is committed to keeping these formation programs strong and vital.

It was my pleasure to initiate a Home School Mass in the Diocese, recognizing that many of our families homeschool their children. It is my goal to assure that faith formation is a part of their curriculum and to provide a support system in the Diocese for these families. Many believe that this pandemic has resulted in a higher number of families who will opt for homeschooling their children in the future. My goal is to challenge the domestic church, the family, to fulfill the responsibility of handing on the faith to the next generation.

Testimonies
I have deep trust in the formation my children receive at A.R.T. Domine! activities. What a brilliant model of family to family formation, where everyone in the Granados family from children through adults are serving families like mine who attend the events. My children always have a blast doing completely wholesome activities--no screens included :) Even my shy or reserved children, who generally do not make friends when they go to group events- are welcomed in such a way here that they actually make friends! And the zeal for the faith is just part of the life of the Granados' so the A.R.T. Domine! formation proceeds out of deep inner conviction--it transfers from heart to heart, reaching the children at a level that is deep and lasting. I am so happy to have these camps and clubs available for my children!
